I think this guy likes me but I’m afraid?

Yes, I bought a HP Mini 1151 NR from Verizon Wireless which comes with the internet available so all i do is click on its desk top icon and connect to verizon, however it is not unlimited and some times it will pick up wifi that i can connect to safely. However, when I start up my pc the laptop notices wireless networks in the area that I could connect to and i can pull up the box and it will show a list of some the pc detects other than the verizon detection and some are secured with little lock icon and some are unsecure. I tried click on one like one named linksys and then when it is highlighted in dark blue the connect option is ready right in the bottom right hand side of that box so it will show a tower trying to connect to the earth like it is trying to connect and it will sometimes say it is connected and then sometimes it will say unable and sometimes is will show an error to go to a MS to find out info about, and the guy at hp tried to fix it. My main question is since i do have verizon yet hp detects wireless connections available is it possible to configure or connect to what the computer is picking up that is in the area and get a connection where i can drop the verizon conn. so i don’t have to use the verizon MB all the time or will i only be able to use what verizon shows? I don’t understand the difference or how to connect to some connection of wifi my computer detects…. i need help plz thanks so much…..

Skipping introductions and formalities, for the last 2 and some years I’ve had a Motorola V3i (unlocked). I learned to mod it through various online discussion sites, and really enjoy the user interface or Motorola phones. To my point, I am ready to buy a new phone, since my plan ended on this phone a few months ago and the modding has lagged my texting speed. For my question, I am looking for a new phone that follows generally but not strictly to these specifications: Brand: Motorola Carrier: Unlocked (has to be unlocked.) SIM Card Slot: YES (has to have a SIM card slot) Price Range: $100-250 Camera Enabled: Yes (2MP+ preferred) Music Enabled: YES (mp3, etc) Video Enabled: Yes Text Messaging: YES (MMS, SMS, IM) Blue Tooth Enabled: Yes Charger/Transfer Type: Mini/Micro USB Phone Memory: 10MB+, most anything is more than that now MicroSD slot: YES MicroSD Memory Capacity: 1GB+, but looking for AT LEAST 4GB enabled (MicroSDHC) Networks: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 Other features: Windows Live Messenger? I’m looking for a phone that falls on or close to those specs.I’m leaning towards the MotoZine Zn5, which my specs are mainly based around, but I want to know if there is anything better or cheaper out there. If you could help me out, I’d be very thankful!

Could heated infrastructure be successfully implemented in the northern United States? The government (mostly state and local I believe) spends huge sums of taxpayer money each year in order to keep the roads clear of snow and ice during the winter in the northern states in the US. Most road damage occurs as a result of the freezing-thawing process and the spreading of salt/calcium chloride that is commonly used to de-ice infrastructure has been shown to further the deterioration of the road itself. One would think that investing in some type of sustainable-heating technology that could be installed over time would alleviate the need to constantly maintain roads in adverse weather. Some countries (Reykjavik, Iceland has some, Japan has a few as well) have heated roads or sidewalks but they are usually few and far between. If some type of technology was put in place as new roads are made/ old ones are repaired, wouldn’t they eventually pay for themselves by significantly cutting down on maintenance costs while helping to facilitate economic interaction? Think of the benefits that could be had if road conditions were, apart from mere rainy weather, always generally consistent. Various methods have been suggested in order to heat a road. Some have pointed to the use of standard electronic energy in order to heat a metal wire “web” within the pavement itself. Others have suggested using geothermal heating to cut around the potentially high energy costs associated with the first approach. A third technique that has been suggested, is to use the sun-attracting tendency of the road itself, which is essentially a large solar panel (think of stepping on a hot road while barefoot in the summer; roads attract a tremendous amount of energy) to somehow create and store solar energy in order to power heated water-circulation network, a system that is currently at use underneath some soccer fields. So, in your opinion, what would be some of the specifications necessary to successfully and economically heat roads/highways in the Northern States? Do you think that it could actually be done over time? If no, please state why not, and if yes, what method (feel free to suggest others) do you believe would work best?

Is Heated Infrastructure in the U.S. Feasible?

0The Yankees Entertainment and Sports (YES) Network is a New York City regional cable TV channel dedicated to broadcasting baseball games of the New York Yankees, and basketball games of the New Jersey Nets. YES made its debut on March 19, 2002. The channel is available in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and parts of Pennsylvania, nationally on DirecTV and regionally on ATT U-verse, and Verizon FiOS.

1YES was the product of a 1999 merger of the business operation of the Yankees and Nets, into a holding company called YankeeNets. One of the reasons that the teams merged was to give them better leverage over their own broadcast rights, with the belief that they would get a better deal if they negotiated the rights to both teams together. Two years earlier Cablevision, who at the time owned the Nets’ broadcast home, SportsChannel New York (later known as Fox Sports Net New York and now known as MSG Plus), became the sole owner to the television rights of all seven MLB, NBA and NHL teams in the New York market when they acquired the competing MSG Network (previously owned by Gulf+Western, Paramount Communications, and Viacom), which had the Yankees broadcast rights since 1989. This led to monopoly-like tactics, including the shift of some games to the cable-exclusive MSG Metro Channels, which had very limited distribution because Cablevision, Comcast, and Time Warner Cable routinely fought over carriage deals. Cablevision attempted to buy the Yankees outright, but could not agree to acceptable terms with George Steinbrenner and his partners.

2YankeeNets discussed multiple options with potential partners to either stay with Cablevision or start their own network. The ultimate decision was to start their own network, ending the five year monopoly that Cablevision had held on local New York sports. The Yankees’ success in the late-1990s was a key factor in the decision, as they had become a much more valuable brand than ever before.

3When YES launched, Goldman Sachs owned a minority share of the network. In late 2003, the Yankees and Nets decided to part ways, with the Nets being sold to a group led by real-estate developer Bruce Ratner. This sale did not include the Nets’ ownership stake in YES, which remained with the pre-merger owners of the team. In 2004, YankeeNets was renamed Yankee Global Enterprises LLC, which owns the Yankees and YES as separate companies. Therefore, the Yankees technically do not own YES. The Yankees, however, receive a rights fee from YES that is somewhat higher than MSG previously paid. In 2007, the portion of the network owned by Goldman Sachs was put up for sale for estate taxes reasons ; the Yankees will reportedly keep their stake in the network.

4The YES Network offices are based at the Chrysler Building in Manhattan. Yankees and Nets pre – and post-game shows are produced in studios that are located in Stamford, Connecticut.

5YES has also featured original programs, some of which have won local New York Emmys. In addition to live coverage of Yankees and Nets games, and their respective pre – and post-game shows, other original programming on YES includes:

6YES broadcasts Yankees and Nets press conferences live as circumstances warrant.

7From 2002 to 2006, YES aired select cablecasts of the Yankees’ minor league teams, primarily the Class-A (short season) Staten Island Yankees of the New York-Penn League, and their former Class-AAA affiliate, the Columbus Clippers of the International League. Staten Island Yankees games were produced by YES, while Clippers games were locally produced in Columbus, Ohio. After the 2006 season, the Yankees ended their affiliation with the Clippers, and are now affiliated with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (formerly Red Barons). No SWB Yankee games have aired on YES, although the team has local coverage in its own market.

8YES also shows Ivy League college sports, Big 12 conference basketball through ESPN Plus, and rebroadcasts of Notre Dame football games. It also carries coaches’ shows for Notre Dame and Penn State.

9In 2000, YankeeNets engaged in a marketing agreement with the New York Giants of the National Football League. This resulted in exclusive Giants magazine programming on YES, including Giants Online and Giants on Deck, which remained on the air after the YankeeNets breakup. In 2007, the Giants ended their relationship with YES and moved their programming to the Fox-owned duopoly of WNYW and WWOR-TV (Fox owns broadcast rights to most NFC games, the Giants are a part of the NFC).

10YankeeNets also had a similar relationship with English football club Manchester United. YES broadcast tape-delayed and classic United games produced by the team’s MUTV in the network’s earlier days. MUTV programming now airs on Setanta Sports North America.

11In addition to the cablecasts, the YES Network also produces the over-the-air broadcasts of Yankees and Nets games on WWOR-TV, using the same on-air talent. From 2002 to 2004, WCBS-TV carried the Yankees broadcasts while WLNY carried the Nets. The Yankees package is also simulcast on stations elsewhere within the team’s designated market. YES also offers a Spanish-language audio feed of all Yankees games through SAP; this feed can also be heard on New York radio station WNSW, which holds the Yankees’ Spanish-language rights.

12YES attempted to secure TV rights to the New Jersey Devils, formerly owned by an affiliate of YankeeNets, but with the team sold to a different ownership group, it opted to renew its contract with MSG Network and FSN New York in 2005 on a long-term basis.

13YES broadcasts NBA TV’s daily news and fantasy basketball shows (usually a rebroadcast, but occasionally live in the early AM drive hours) and The Marv Albert Show. YES and NBA TV also aired reruns of the 1978-1981 CBS drama series The White Shadow for a couple of years.

14YES airs This Week in Baseball during the week, following each episode’s premiere on Fox on Saturdays throughout the MLB regular season.

15Since the launch of YES in 2002, the voice of longtime Yankee Stadium public address announcer Bob Sheppard has been featured in station IDs and upcoming schedules. Marv Albert’s voice is sometimes used instead.

16A dispute over being carried by Cablevision, who attempted to purchase the Yankees in 1998 and carried the team’s games on MSG Network, at the time of the channel’s launch led to a year without Yankee games for all Cablevision subscribers until New York State’s government stepped in and negotiated a temporary deal. The two sides eventually signed a long-term carriage contract in 2004. When MSG first signed its TV deal with the Yankees, Cablevision (which owned SportsChannel New York) and MSG also had a lengthy carriage dispute.

17Dish Network remains the only cable or satellite provider in the New York City area not to carry YES, and has indicated that it will not offer YES unless YES asks for a lower subscription fee. YES, however, has a most favored nation clause with all of its cable and satellite operators. If YES lowered its price for one operator, it would void all other contracts. YES minority owner Goldman Sachs also has an ownership stake in Dish Network parent Echostar.

18In 2003, now-former Yankees bench coach Don Zimmer said some negative things in the media about owner George Steinbrenner. In response, Steinbrenner is rumored to have ordered YES not to show Zimmer on camera during its Yankee cablecasts.

19In April 2005, YES declined to broadcast pre-game Opening Day festivities celebrating the Boston Red Sox’ 2004 World Championship prior to a Yankees-Red Sox game at Fenway Park. Instead, a fixed camera shot was focused tightly on correspondent Kimberly Jones as she described in general terms the events surrounding her; afterwards, YES was roundly criticized for the move. Yankees players not only witnessed the ceremonies, but graciously applauded them from the top steps of their dugout.

20During the 2005 season, local New York newspapers reported that the post-game questions asked to Yankees manager Joe Torre by Jones were being sent to her by top-level team executives (quite possibly on directives from Steinbrenner), and that Torre did not feel comfortable answering them. For the 2006 and 2007 seasons, Torre, who had been paid a fee by YES to give exclusive interviews after each Yankees game, ended the agreement. YES now sends its reporter to the regular pre – and post-game media sessions with other broadcast outlets.

21In March 2008, Time Warner Cable moved YES from its channel 30 position in the New York metro area to channel 54 soon after the Yankees received city public funding for a new stadium. Simultaneously, Time Warner Cable moved Bloomberg TV to the channel 30 position, all while renegotiating its 10-year contract with Mayor Bloomberg and the city of New York.

22In September 2005, YES introduced a 1080i high definition version of the network, now available through Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Cablevision, DirecTV and RCN, among other providers. On April 1, 2007, YES Network launched a full-time high definition simulcast of the channel. All Yankees and Nets games, in addition to studio shows, are now broadcast in HD. Since September 2006, YES has produced Yankees and Nets games in HD for WWOR, but not necessarily for TV stations simulcasting the WWOR games in other markets.

23YES Yankees Bonus Cam, available exclusively on DIRECTV channel 632 during live Yankees games, is a separate feed of the game with a second “bonus” cam inlay in the bottom right. It is typically centered on the pitching mound or base runners. It is only available within the YES Network DMA regardless of whether or not customers subscribe to MLB Extra Innings. Starting in 2009, it has been in 1080i high definition. It was previously available in standard definition only on DirecTV channel 9990.

24YES has a national feed of the network. This feed does not feature live games, but does include both the pre and post game shows. Alternate programming is shown during games. Verizon FiOS (regionally) and Bright House Networks (Tampa Bay and Orlando systems) are currently two of the providers that carry YES outside of the New York DMA. This feed is different than that of the satellite feed available on DirecTV in which Yankees and / or Nets games can be viewed outside of the teams’ markets with a subscription to MLB Extra Innings and / or NBA League Pass.

252002-2004: Blue diamond, outlined in white in upper left-handed corner of screen. Red arrows, outlined in white, around diamond to show baserunners at their respective bases. The team’s initials were boxed next to their amount of runs scored in the center of the diamond. The inning was placed above the score while the amount of outs and current pitch count were placed below the score. The YES logo was found at the bottom of the diamond, disappearing temporarily after incoming pitch speeds.

262005: The on-screen scoreboard was slightly modified for the 2005 season. The blue diamond lost its white outline, given a darker more royal-blue color to it. The arrows signifying the baserunners were changed to a bright yellow. The teams initials remain in the middle, now only in silver boxes with their amount of runs scored directly to the right in white in black backgrounds. The pitch count and number of outs changed to white on a black background. A small red capsule would appear next to the team currently batting. Just like after a pitch speed, the YES logo at the bottom of the graphic changed after a home run was hit. When that happens, a yellow rectangle takes the place of the logo in bold capital letters spelling HOME RUN.

272006: During Spring Training of 2006, the on-screen scoreboard changed dramatically. The scoreboard changed from a diamond in the left corner to thin banner spanning the top of the screen. The banner was white with a chrome finish. On the far left of the banner was the diamond showing the runners at each base. The bases in the diamond were outlined in blue and each base would glow yellow when a runner was on that specific base. Next to the diamond were the team scores. The teams initials were found in black boxes encased in a large rectangle featuring the team’s main color. Also in the rectangle was the team’s number of runs scored in black on a white background. From left to right, the inning, number of outs and pitch count were in small black rectangles. To the far right is the YES logo which would slide to the right to show the most recent pitch speed. After each pitch, or after an out or run was scored, the appropriate box would flash blue to the appropriate stat. After a home run was hit, the diamond would turn blue displaying the letters ‘HR’ in the center.

282007-pres: The only subtle to change to the scoreboard was in the base diamond. The bases were now outlined in black and after a home run was hit, the diamond would turn black before displaying the ‘HR’ text.

29The official website of the network is located at http://yesnetwork.com. When the network launched in 2002, this domain was registered by a seminar training company called the “Yes! Network.” YES temporarily used the domain yesnetworktv.com, before making a deal with the Yes! Network, who moved to the new domain http://yesmidwest.com.

30Early in the 2006 season, website design and maintenance of yesnetwork.com was taken over by MLB, which operates websites from other team-owned regional sports networks including the Mets’ SportsNet New York, and the Cleveland Indians’ SportsTime Ohio. As a result, YES is able to show a limited amount of game highlights on its website, in addition to post-game interviews.

Noticed the shell game going on with government medical takeover? Claim 848 bil but 2 trillion closer to truth?

I have bad hypochondria. I developed this 3 years ago and it’s pretty bad. I’m constantly fearing that I will catch some disease and die or that I will move my body or eat wrong and choke to death or break an internal organ. Most of my fear is of having a heart related problem. I don’t go out anymore and I stay inside so that nothing bad happens, like getting in a car accident. If someone mentions an accident or death of a loved one it makes me both sad and very scared and I have a panic attack. I spend hours looking up symptoms online and I now have to file bankruptcy because of medical bills for doctors visits for minor illnesses when I didn’t have any health insurance. I want to go teach english abroad for a year but I don’t know how I can when I can’t even barely leave the house outside of work. I’m afraid I’ll get ill and die in a foreign country

Hypochondria is ruining my life?

Okay so I am flooded with insurance papers from my hubbys job and dont know which one to go with here they are;

As it is now you can not be denied medical attention.

Concerning the health care reform: If you would go to a hospitals emergency room and do not have …….?

I don’t need any smarta$$ answers insulting anyone (but thanks anyway).

What I’d like to know is, does anyone know how the healthcare reform proposals lower medical costs now and keep them from rising in the future?

I know it’s not from cutting out the health insurance middlemen because the government administration will have a similar cost and cutting out profit won’t make a dent in the rising costs.

I don’t think it’s by making the healthcare system more efficient. From what I’ve seen there’s nothing proposed that would do that and I don’t know if streamlining would offset the huge increases in drugs and medical procedures.

How about preventative care? Are there and studies showing how preventative care will make people healthier to save the system money?

Any references you could point to would be appreciated. Thanks hybrid but don’t we catch cancer pretty early now when compared to other countries. I’ve heard and read that our cancer survival rates are good.

As far as other preventative measures go, how long do we have to wait for the payoff for better care. If people are healthier but we have to wait 20 years for it to show it’s probably worth undertaking the hard work. Will Americans agree to eat better exercise and lose weight? Besides the obvious payoff of a better life, why can’t we incentivize being healthy? So Jim, are you saying that a government system would have less paperwork?

Would decreased paperwork make an MRI, HIV drug or cancer drug substantially cheaper?

I read about a heart pump yesterday that costs $80,000.00 plus a couple hundred thousand in hospital costs. Instead of figuring out ways to reduce paperwork how about we cut back utilisation by 90% by making people healthier? Thanks Woodpecker, you make a good point. I seriously doubt the CBO has projections on how this will save money on healthcare. Their mission is to figure out how much a program will cost the government and how it will be paid for. Thanks ada. Are you aware of any studies that show your premise to be true. Do other countries with socialized medicine have success with preventative care and will Americans change their lifestyle to help save money when it doesn’t have a direct connection to their pocket?

I just sat for the English as a first language IGCSE exam. I chose the title “forgiveness. write a story in which forgiveness plays a central part”. i wrote it about me having a fight with my friend.. and then i learn that she is very sick and that her days are numbered. i ask for forgiveness.. and she dies 1 month later. my conclusion states a few sentences on forgiveness. The Crucible questions?

So I have a drawn out theory: 1. Danny and Joey lived in San Fransico, California: Where many gays live. (again, no offense people, just making that one clear) 2. They lived together for like 10 freakin years. 3. They ALWAYS hugged. 4. Their relationships with women NEVER worked out. Uncle Joey had maybe one or two girlfriends and Danny was engaged for a while but that didn’t work. 5. Uncle Joey loved childrens shows and playing with toys and wearing footie-pajamas… 6. They dressed up like women in one episode and liked it. 7. Danny was always so clean and proper; He also cooked and cleaned and was very feminine. 8. He picked out Michelle’s outfits and said they were “precious” and “adorable” and “cute” 9. On one episode Danny takes a bath with Nicky and Alex (Uncle Jesse’s twin sons) 10. Uncle Jesse even thought they were really wierd and gay-acting (he never said the gay part on the family show, but you know he was thinking it and told them they were wierd) (note: i am not insulting the gay community…)

Who else thinks Danny Tanner and Uncle Joey were gay? (no offense to the gay community out there)?

does anyone know what the song is that is played on the “precious” preview. the preview on tv not the trailer. thanks

“Precious” the movie preview?

Today, at Saturday, October 17 2009, around 4-5 P.M. (GMT +8)(Malaysia), I was having a snack when I heard this song on the TV. With some tedious searching and tracking, I found out that it originated from one of National Geographic shows entitled “Massive Moves Week: 100 Ton Train” The proof are here :http://www.natgeotv.co.in/programmes/EpisodeGuide.aspx?Id=374 (scroll down to about 1/3 down) I tried to do the searching myself at first. Google and Youtube was not much of a help. Heck, the National Geographic Youtube account don’t even have the video. I didn’t manage to get the full lyric. What I remember was, when the show was about to end, when they finally made the journey across Africa and finally gets the train onto the ship, the song goes somethings like this: Forty days and nights in the open sea …(something something, was writing down the above)… …(something something, was writing down the above)… …(something something, was writing down the above)… …(something something, was writing down the above)… …(something something, was writing down the above)… Will the precious cargo escape safely? There is a part of the song that starts earlier, about half way down the show. It plays when the train was on track to the dockyard. The song is something like country/sailor/orchestra tune. A bunch of people were singing it I think that’s all that I know. Sorry I can’t provide more detail. Good luck! P.S. In case you are wondering, YES, this question have been posted before (by me). NO, I’m not fooling around. It’s just that I didn’t get what I ask and somehow, the question just got resolved. So, I’m posting this again to try my luck once more! Please help!

Massive Moves Week: 100 Ton Train Soundtrack?

If Allah gives us 60 years to live then it comes to around 22,000 days (60?365). All these days Allah gives us to prepare for one day of interview with Allah. That is on the Day of Judgement. On that day, Allah will ask us some questions and He wants some correct answers. Allah is so merciful that He already told us what the questions will be through Quran and Ahadith. His mercy is so great that He even told us the answers to these questions. Now imagine, a student goes to write an exam. He opens his exam paper and finds the questions on one side. Then he finds that the answers to the questions are on the other side. Now after writting the exam, if this student still fails then what would we think of him? We would think that he is the dumbest person around. Well, tell you what, on the Day of Judgement, us people who knew the questions and answers will still fail! That is why, this is the time to wake up before we prove ourselves to be the dumbest of people. Youth is the prime time of our lives. This is where people make important decisions like what to become in the future. Things you do in this time will most likely affect you throughout the rest of your life. That is why, it is important to bring Islam into your life during these days. Many people have the conception that when they get old then they will start practising Islam. Probably you and me also have this feeling. But look at it this way: If you want to become a famous hockey player then you would start playing right from the youth. As you grow up, you will become better and better. But if you think that you will start playing when you are an old man then the chances of becoming famous is virtually zero. That’s the reality. When we become old, we won’t have enough energy to even stand up and pray. Because youth is the prime time of your life, that is why it is very precious to Allah. Allah has prepared a shade on the Day of Judgement for those people who used to worship Allah in their youth. On that Day, there will be no other shade except the shade from the throne of Allah. Imagine standing outside on a very hot day under the sun for hours after hours. You would definately want some shadow to rest under. But what about that Day when the sun will be much nearer to us and the heat will be much more extreme. Wouldn’t you want some shade on that day? Ofcourse you would! You and I are all weak in terms of keeping our duties to Allah and Allah is aware of that. Allah wants that we keep trying to do our best. If a baby falls down while walking he tries to get up again and walk. He doesn’t keep sitting down. Then a day comes when he does start to walk. Similarly, we should keep trying our best and not give up. A day will come when, Inshallah, we will be strong enough to obey Allah in every situation. Let us make a small promise to Allah right now that we will start doing the things for which we were sent to this life. Otherwise, we will be like that dumb guy who will fail the test on the Day of Judgement. May Allah make it easy for us. Ameen. Source: http://www.haqislam.org/make-use-of-your-youth/If you read you will find the word “if” before the sentence

Make use of your youth?

Ch. 1 Mother I was making breakfast, when the there was a knock on the door. I turned off the stove and looked through the peep hole in the door. It wasn’t. It was. Shacelle, my horrible sister, smiled through the small hole. I quickly ran into my baby’s room. The front door squeaked. “Anya! How good it is to see you? I have finally found you! I have missed you so. Where are you?” She was in the kitchen. Wildly tossing around pots and pans. Slamming the cabinets. “Come out, come out sister Anya. We used to play this when we were little.” Her heels slowly strutted down the hall. I got Pandora, my beautiful baby, and put all of her things in an air-tight bag that could minimize to pocket-sized. “Where is that lovely husband of yours? He’s here isn’t he?” She walked through the door that led to our small courtyard. I was looking out the small dirty window. Shacelle walked up to Tamir, my husband, and opened her arms as if welcoming a hug. She smiled a fake smile and hugged him. Shacelle whispered something in his ear and he shook his head. She grabbed something from the small of her back. A dagger! She plunged it into Tamir’s gut. He gasped and Shacelle pushed him on the ground and walked back inside the house. “Anya? Come on. I’m tired of playing this childish game,” she said. I put Pandora in the box that had been passed down for generations in my family. My grandmama told me that whatever is in the box will be safe from evil. I placed Pandora in the box and quickly scratched a note onto paper for her. I climbed out of the window. The fall was long and the ground was hard but, I made it only with a twisted ankle. There was Tamir laying on the grassy earth. I put my fingers to my lips, said a prayer, and put them on his lips. After that I ran, careful to make sure Pandora was ok in her bundle of blankets and belongings. “Anya! Sister dear, where are you? Ah,” she saw me running “there you are.” She ran after me. I sprinted to a hidden alley. I was hyperventilating very loud. The clicking sound of her heels on the cobblestone made my heart beat faster. She came to this alley and walked down it. “I know you’re here ,Anya. I can taste you and your child too. Ooh,” she inhaled “she tastes so good.” She found me behind the garbage container. “Don’t …” I couldn’t finish. I knew she would. “Give me the child.” Her eyes mesmerized me and I almost handed Pandora to her. I shook my head. She took out a gleaming sword. “Give her to me.” “Never!” I shouted. The tip was close against my throat now. “Anya, give me the child!” She was warning me. She really would kill me. “One…Two…” I held the box tighter. “No!” “Three!” The sharp sword was jabbed deep into my throat. She smiled as she snatched my precious box and baby away from me. “G…ood…bye…” and my body went cold.

I have asked this question one time before, and I got irrelevant answers like, listen to rock music, life is a precious gift and blah blah. I hated these answers. I am a 16 year old (Indian) living in a european country right now. No one likes me. My parents dont really care what I am doing. I have no friends. because, .1. I am indian. 2. I am brown. 3. I have a ugly face (typical indian).. My teachers indirectly hate me as well. OK, pls tell me, where do I go wrong, that no one feels like talking to me???? Is there any annoying thing that I do, which I shouldnt?? I know, u would say, how do we know what you do? But, I am askin about indians including me??? why do i always feel like suiciding……….. take the following case: I was in school. It was the last lecture of the day. We were talking about a play. When the teacher was handing out some papers individually. She did not give a copy to me. THe guy next to me saysl, ‘haha, You are not important enough in this class’. OK, that was only once…….. he always racially insults me. I never complain to the administrators or whatever. On the table one day, he is sitting quietly talking to others. When I arrive and take a seat in front of me, he is like, ‘ Here is my little indian friend’. Not only him, everyone sitting there laugh quietly. He is not the only one, almost all people are like these. I need ur thoughts on these incidents AND PLS dont tell me to change the school, it is not possible… to move rite nw cos of many personal problems. I have no girlfriends. Everyone laugh quietly when I come. I have noticed sharply and found out the reasons forthat. . It could be cos i am not handsome, i am little, not that much, i am like 5ft4inches or 5inc. I am not that short……………….. WHAT SHOULD I DO SO EVERYONE COULD LIKE ME????????????????????????? OK FORGET EVERYthING I SAID;,,,, TELL ME; HOW CAN I SUICIDE??? PLS ANY IDEAS???? POLL: Take the Car Name Quiz?

My Family Excerpt (c)2009 Benny and Sandrine made a good home for the boys. Aidan; so tall, handsome, and vivid, at the same time being so gentle and passionate. And Markie; like a rose. So soft, and delicate, and sweet, but covered in thorns, unsure of it’s identity. Unsure whether to be the kind delightful being you’d expect a rose to be, or the rough intimidating otherworldly part, the one you‘d expect all things as precious as a rose to lack.. Aidan Jeffery Daniels, son of Bert and Maggie Daniels, born in 1993. He was always tall for his age, with long arms and skinny fingers, and knobby legs with outward pointed knees. His shaggy blonde hair and warm chocolate eyes indicated the perfect Californian Boy. A beach bum, if you will. Aidan was born in Hollywood at St. Regis Hospital, about twelve miles away from the hubbub of the big city. His mother, Maggie Daniels, was an inspired actress. With platinum black hair, pale skin, and rosy lips and cheeks, she looked like a thirty year old version of the princess, Snow White. She was a feisty woman, that Maggie. Making a name for herself in the city of lights, the city of action, the city of stardom. Bert Daniels, on the other hand, was almost exactly the opposite. He was gentle and warm, with the same shaggy blonde hair and melting chocolate brown eyes as Aidan. He was unemployed, destined to look after his young son while the princess-resembling love of his life aspired her dreams, acting in community plays, showing up at random parties and premieres, and spending money they didn’t have on fancy dresses, shoes, and pearls. Maggie and Bert, Bert and Maggie. Two exact opposites that blended so well. They where in love, if nothing else. But God had plans for those two. On May 12th 1998, there was a car accident, that wasn’t so much an accident as it was a homicidal drunken man, about the age of fifty-six, who confirms he was just fed up with life, and mad at everyone around him at the second of his wheel-turning decision. He wanted to kill, to feel death at the steer of his wheel, and he found what he was looking for. Death to the parents of a five-year-old boy, with shaggy blonde hair and melting brown eyes. Death to the only and last people that that five-year-old boy would ever trust. For now, at least. Death did not come to the circa fifty-six year old man, but jail time sure did. That is how Aidan ended up an orphan, with no extended family besides his aunt Sandrine and her boyfriend Ben. No extended family besides Sandrine, a hairstylist at Kenneth’s Salon in Kansas City, and her baseball playing boyfriend. Marcus Christopher Collin Arthur McAdams, Markie for short, son of Jean-Elizabeth and Carver McAdams, born in 1995. He had curly brown hair, with light freckles that laid graciously and gingerly on sun kissed cheeks. With green eyes that blazed and glared with every glance, and a smile that rarely was full-blown. When Markie’s parents, Jean-Elizabeth and Carver gave him up to a woman named Cora to fulfill their dream of traveling the world without the limits of an infant child, he was never to be seen by his parents again. They disappeared, disappeared without so much as telling the kind woman taking their son in his name. All except his last. “Make it McAdams.” said Jean-Elizabeth lightly as she gently handed over the wailing child to the waiting arms of a woman named Cora. “So he’ll always have a part of us.” she’d said, grasping her husbands hand. Jean-Elizabeth didn’t want to give up Markie to the woman named Cora. She loved her baby boy. But Jean-Elizabeth had dreams for this world, some realistic, most not. In her eyes, the non-realistic ones where the most important. Being slowed down by so much as a child to care for interrupted her and her husbands plans. Carver was much more eager to give the boy up and leave. They’d had one way tickets to Sweden, and he was not about to miss the flight. I guess that a mothers love to a child is much different from a fathers love a child, because while Jean-Elizabeth wanted one last look, one last kiss on a soft, newborn cheek, Carver wanted out. And they did go. The woman named Cora, Cora Speiler, cared for Markie until he was ten years old, in 2005. By then, Cora was seventy-three, battling cancer, and not in prime condition to be raising a child. When Cora passed away, Markie was sent to be looked after by Cora’s neighbor, a man named Charlie. Charlie was funny and nice, with brown skin and black bulgy eyes. He talked about books a lot, and studied French as a second language. He was fluent in sign language, and had a dog named Spuddly, whom Markie got along with great. When Charlie could no longer afford to care for Markie, Markie, along with Spuddly, was sent to Charlie’s greatest and truest friend. A man named Benjamin Porter. When Benny had heard that his dear friend Charlie’s house was going into foreclosure, he agreed to care for the now
