LONDON (AFP) – Legendary rock band Led Zeppelin are planning to return to recording and touring without singer and frontman Robert Plant, bassist John Paul Jones told BBC radio. Jones said the hard-rocking group were trying out different singers to replace Plant, who has repeatedly voiced his reluctance to join in a full reunion after a mammoth one-off gig at the O2 Arena in London last December. Some 20 million people applied for the 20,000 tickets for the charity concert — the band’s first full gig since they split in 1980 following the death of drummer John Bonham. Jones said he, guitarist Jimmy Page and Bonham’s drummer son Jason were keen to get out playing concerts again — and were not hanging around waiting for Plant to change his mind. “We are trying out a couple of singers,” the 62-year-old said. “We want to do it. It’s sounding great and we want to get on and get out there.” Jones said the band were not searching for a Plant replica. “It’s got to be right. There’s no point in just finding another Robert,” he said. “You could get that out of a tribute band, but we don’t want to be our own tribute band. “There would be a record and a tour, but everyone has to be on board.” The O2 show — the first time the original three have played together in public for 19 years — was part of a tribute concert for the late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, who signed the group in 1968. Led Zeppelin went on to sell more than 300 million albums worldwide, with “Stairway to Heaven”, “Whole Lotta Love” and “Kashmir” among their best-loved songs. *sigh*….oh Ryan, lol:( Exactly, Dom Hollow! I can’t imagine anyone paying to see this band….but of course there will be people who do.

Can it ever be Zeppelin without Robbie?

Larry Bird 21,791 24. KOBE BRYANT 21,619 – {At age 30 the best Kobe can do is move up to #20 or maybe 19} Alltime Leader in PPG: 1. Michael Jordan 30.1 1. Wilt Chamberlain 30.1 3. Allen Iverson 27.7 4. Elgin Baylor 27.4 5. LeBron James 27.3 6. Jerry West 27.0 7. Bob Pettit 26.4 8. George Gervin 26.2 9. Oscar Robertson 25.7 10. Shaquille O’Neal 25.2 11. Karl Malone 25.0 11. KOBE BRYANT 25.0 – {Career PPG are not, like Career Total Points because they tend to remain constant. All Shaq needs to do before he retires to stay ahead of Kobe is average 13-15 PPG and w/ Steve Nash being the facilitator this would be obviously done.) All-time Playoff PPG… 1. Michael Jordan — 33.4 2. * Allen Iverson — 29.7 3. Jerry West — 29.1 4. * Tracy McGrady — 28.5 5. * LeBron James — 27.5 6. Elgin Baylor — 27.0 7. George Gervin — 27.0 8. Hakeem Olajuwon — 25.9. 9. * Vince Carter — 25.9 10. * Shaquille O’Neal — 25.2. (*Oh!Oh! seems the list only goes to Top 10 and Kobe even failed to make the final cut.) All-time Leaders in Total Playoff Points: 1.) Michael Jordan – 5,987 2.) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – 5,762 3.) Shaquille O’Neal – 5,045 4.) Karl Malone – 4,761 5.) Jerry West – 4,457 6.) Larry Bird – 3,897 7.) John Havlicek – 3,776 8.) Hakeem Olajuwon – 3,755 9.) Magic Johnson – 3,701 10.) Scottie Pippen – 3,642 (*Oh!Oh! Kobe fails again to make the cut) . I wont eve bring up the Finals stats because we all know how bad Kobe plays in the Finals. But, one must keep in mind Kobe in the five Finals he has been in only shot better than 41% in one and thats NJ. The rest he had terrible Finals series and was lucky he had Shaq. First, and foremost he missed 2 games due to injury against Indiana. Who, I ask you would miss a Finals game a year later Iverson his Finals nemesis and a player that if you noticed was higher than him in all scoring categories played through a Finals with a bruised rib and dropped 48 points on Kobe his first game averaging 35.7 PPG. Kobe has never put up 40 in a playoffs. Shaq, Jordan, Iverson all did and Baylor put up 60. Also, Kobe had terrible games in Finals was held scoreless and put up 9 pts in another game from Jalen Rose d. Against Philly he put up 14 pts and we all know the struggles against Detroit and Boston. Also, again who misses a final thats an insut to AI’s ribs, Isaiah’s back, MJ’s flu, and Willis Reed’s inspiring play. . Also for you who say offense isnt everything and Kobe does more. Thats true, but Kobe is known for offense, which clearly with the offensive categories there are many players better. But, Kobe does not do anything else but offense. His d is very overrated. Gilbert Arenas dropped 60 on him Iverson many times including this year dropped 50 on him Allan Houston passed his prime put 50 on him LeBron and T-Mac come up big on Kobe Alltime Steals per game: Kobe is not even on list (Top 30). Its ironic Jordan is 3rd. Allen Iverson is 5th, Ron Artest is 9th, Jason Kidd is 12th, Baron Davis is 17th, and Shawn Marion is 23rd. Alltime Total Steals: Again Kobe not on list. Jordan again ironically is 2nd, Kidd is 11th, Iverson is 13th, hell even Eddie Jones is 21st. Alltime FG’s Made: No Kobe. Jordan is 4th, Shaq is 9th, Garnett is 25th, and Iverson is 28th. Alltime Assist Per Game: No Kobe…..Chris Paul is 3rd, Jason Kidd is 4th, Steve Nash is 12th, Stephon Marbury is 13th, Baron Davis is 21st, Jamaal Tinsley is 22nd Alltime Total Assists: No Kobe….Kidd is 5th, Nash is 15th, Marbury is 22nd, Cassell is 29th Kobe fans face it he is overrated. Even his offense the best part of his game is overrated. Otherwise, the stat categories would prove otherwise. With Kobe failing to make the other stat lists it also proves his game is one-dimensional. Isnt it irionic that Shaq’s name came up alot in a lot of those stats. Could that be it was really his team. Also, players like Jordan, Iverson, etc were all above Kobe could that be that they are better? Larry Bird was overrated 2 his team was stacked. Bird had terrible hands, not athletic, an alright passer and rebounder. Could not defend. All Bird di was shoot.

Find The Kobe {Proof Why He is not the Best}?

British rockers Led Zeppelin reunite on Monday to headline a tribute concert to the late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun in what has been billed as one of the biggest gigs in years. The three surviving members of the hugely successful 1970s group that created “Stairway to Heaven” and “Whole Lotta Love” have rarely performed together since splitting in 1980 after the death of drummer John Bonham following a drinking binge. By their own admission, each reunion has been a flop, so anticipation is high that the 90-minute set at London’s O2 Arena late on Monday will get somewhere close to the heyday when they were considered by many to be the world’s biggest rock band. Singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones will be joined by Bonham’s son Jason on the drums for the one-off comeback, although there has been fevered speculation that the gig may be followed by a full-scale tour.”Let’s just do the O2 and we’ll see what happens from there,” 63-year-old Page told Reuters in a recent interview. “I haven’t got a crystal ball here and nor have you.” Led Zeppelin sold an estimated 300 million albums and were legendary for their rock’n'roll excess, but their popularity is also attributed to the influence the music had on later acts. When organizers announced the concert, also featuring the Who’s Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings among others, the Web site selling tickets crashed as more than a million people rushed for about 20,000 seats. For all of those who thought they would never come back.. EVEN IF IT IS THEIR LAST COME BACK.. THEY ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST BAND EVER
